creasingly intersecting with AI, data science, automation and computational modelling. This is creating opportunities for graduates who can combine financial understanding with quantitative and technological skills.
U.S. employment projections reinforce this trend: data-science employment is projected to grow by roughly 34% between 2024 and 2034, while operations-research and software-development occupations are also expected to grow substantially faster than the overall labour market.
The BIDYUT Perspective
The programme with the highest salary is not automatically the best programme for you.
A Finance or Commerce graduate may be better aligned with an MS Finance or certain FinTech programmes. Quantitative Finance, Computational Finance and Financial Engineering generally require much stronger foundations in calculus, linear algebra, probability, statistics and programming.
So don't ask only:
“Which degree gives me the highest salary?”
Ask:
“Do I have the academic foundation and skills required to reach that career?”
Profile → Quantitative Readiness → Programme → Industry → Employer → Career → Salary → Future
A high salary should be the outcome of the right decision—not the reason for making the wrong one.
